Jakub Danielewicz

Hi! My name is Jakub Danielewicz, I’m a Multidisciplinary designer with a passion for futurism and learning new software. Currently in the final year of Interactive Design Degree. I’m proficient in the majority of software from the Adobe Suite and CAD such as Cinema 4D. My main creative interests are design for mobile applications, 3D modeling and marketing. REACT is a concept augmented reality experience, created for Frequency festival; hosted in the historical city of Lincoln. The festival focuses on exploring digital culture and creativity through interactive experiences. The project aims to explore the interaction between music and the physical environment, through the use of pioneering technologies such as LiDAR and machine learning. These technologies allow sound reactive 3D elements to interact with the physical environment and detect different geometries in real time, allowing for a truly immersive experience.

Hello Lincoln is a series of acrylic plaques located around the city of Lincoln acting as part of a digital guide experience. Each plaque contains a QR code which directs the user to a web based augmented reality experience which utilizes recordings from 1930s picturing various locations in the city as an overlay, the user stands on the plaque situated roughly in the same spot the camera was at the time of filming then points their device in the same direction, the overplayed video gives an illusion of looking into the past. The experience also provides information about the historical sites and an interactive map. The map feature shows the user their position in the city and the location of the next plaque, the user can follow the route to explore the city's history and heritage, doubling as a digital guide.

FridgeMate is a powerful device which provides the benefits of a smart fridge for a fraction of the price. The device is attached to the fridge doors this allows for easy access to the scanner and save space. FridgeMate is connected to a massive product database, once a product is scanned batch and manufacture detail is directly uploaded from the app. The app also provides the user with important information like the state of the fridge and updates regarding expiry dates of stored food. As well as recipes based on the inventory and preferences. A cook book where the user can save favorite recipes, if any ingredients are missing they can add them to the shopping list with a one tap of a button. FridgeMate notifies you when food is close to expiry and suggest recipes and other ways the food could be used to reduce food waste and save money.
