intro

To make our dissertations stand out we were tasked to create a book using the content and the theme of our writing and creating an interesting and academic typographic piece based on this. My dissertation “Does Censorship Exist as a Tool of Progression or Oppression? was around freedom of speech, it’s history and how it can affect the way we speak in different ways. I used the theme of newsprint due to its relevance to the topic and based the books typography and colour scheme around this.

We were asked my Lincoln Tourism to create a cycling app that not only gets people out on their bikes experiencing Lincolnshire but to get them to visit landmarks and integrate interesting features to do so, focusing on user centered design. My unique selling point for the app was audio tours around the routes that tell the user about Lincolnshire as they ride through it without having to stop and get off on potentially dangerous roads the audio rides also included the option of soundscapes that react to the given area, such as a coastal route would have a different track to a urban one. Along with this, users had the option to use a personal trainer on these rides to aid them and get better times to add to the leader boards.
