Footnote Feminism

Footnote Feminism refers to women who have made a difference in the world but have been forgotten by history. This was highlighted from 2020 when everyone had to reflect into their past, which came from a hard-hitting reality of how outdated society still is during protests due to equality.

Accessing information about the past can be easy if the information has been well documented- for many religions, cultures, races and much more that creates minorities, it is hard, it may even have been erased. Due to the past outdated views in which usually documents white, successful men that have made historical changes, women have been overshadowed and this means stories have been forgotten or recently uncovered due to technology and information being easily accessible.  This project addressed the difference between generational gaps, the spaces inside this building gives multiple opportunities for this to happen in a safe environment.

Library, Restaurant, Exhibition, Multifunctional/ Workshop Space

These in place support the building with each other with the strategy of narrative design at the forefront.
