Our New World is a collection inspired by the comparison of two deadly pandemics: the present Covid-19 pandemic and the Spanish influenza in 1918. Drawing inspiration from how I felt during isolation and the emotions that accompanied people during lockdown and comparing it to how people felt during the Spanish flu pandemic.

Drawing inspiration from our faces covered by facemasks and incorporating my family, close people, and my pets into my research, which makes this collection very personal. Being inspired by the shapes of facemasks and NHS workers fighting the virus as well as historical events, which took place in 1918.

Our New World is a trans-seasonal collection, which portrays very difficult times for the humanity. It includes very strong and powerful silhouettes inspired by utility wear.
