Steve Hatton: Photographic Portraiture Workshop

Steve Hatton is an award-winning photographer, filmmaker and co-founder of production company Electric Egg.

Steve has a passion for portraiture and documentary photography. Recurring themes in his work are the connection between people and place and exploring social and historical narratives.

Alongside his personal work and commissions, Steven undertakes commercial commissions as co-founder of Electric Egg, a multi-disciplinary production company based in the East Midlands.

At Electric Egg, Steven works as director, producer and lead photographer. Be it undertaking personal or commercial projects, Steven considers each strand of his work vital to the development of his own practice and furthering his craft of visual storytelling.

This workshop is for photography students and will cover professional techniques for composing, posing and lighting for portraiture and communication between photographer and sitter. This workshop will require a basic working knowledge of manual camera controls and lighting terminology.
