Katy is Senior Designer at Seen Studios + co-founder of Studio AOK with Ahmed Abokor. Freelance books are closed, but always open to collaborating with like-minded creatives. All client work now runs through Studio AOK, where we back not-for-profits and purpose-led brands, teaming up with specialists to make meaningful ideas happen.

Dorien grew up in the Netherlands and moved to the UK where she obtained a first-degree BA Hons in Graphic Design from the University of Lincoln. She then moved to London, where she worked with clients ranging from the Prado Museum (Spain) and Tate Modern (UK) to Pearson FT Publishing. 

Her journey into writing and illustrating picture books began as a gift for her son. Since then, her work has been published by leading international publishers. 

Her book ‘Sail’ garnered recognition in the form of a World Illustration Award and was shortlisted for the prestigious Bologna Illustrators Exhibition. 

She draws predominantly with watercolour and ink, developing a distinctive style rich in texture and detail.  

This session is primarily aimed at Graphic Design Students, however others are welcome to attend if there is space (please register).
