BA (hons) Futures 1 – Getting Started
Futures 1 – Getting Started
This session will help you understand how the skills you develop at university connect directly to your future career. You will explore what transferable skills are, why employers value them, and how they are used across different roles and sectors.
You will learn how to identify the key skills needed for work experience, placements and graduate roles, and how to recognise these skills in your own academic, part-time work and extracurricular activities. You will also hear from a Career Ambassador, who will share their own journey and how they built their skills and confidence through university opportunities.
Finally, we will introduce the Lincoln Award and show how it can support your personal and professional development by helping you track, evidence and communicate your skills to employers.
Please note that this is a timetabled session for all LSDA 1st year students so no sign up required.
